After bouncing as a “hafu” (half-Japanese) between opposite ends of the globe since the ripe age of nine months, I write with the aim to broaden the world we see, whether that be within ourselves or the beauty of the natural world. I like to think that working as a pediatric nurse has helped me to retain some of my own inner child in writing middle grade to young adult fantasy (or at least one can hope, right?). When I am not working, writing (or daydreaming of writing), you can find me cuddling my dogs, dancing Lindy Swing, or planning my next overseas getaway.
